Our History
The Haras du Rezidal was founded in 1975 by Paul Dechamps with a clear vision: to create a family-run, authentic stable, rooted in the equestrian world. Over the years, the torch has been passed to his son, Jean Michel Dechamps, who took over the stud to develop it into a breeding ground for sport horses as well as an important base for the international transport of horses.
Our story is driven by a constant ambition: to improve the genetic quality of our horses, generation after generation. Thanks to regular births over several years, we have refined our selection of breeders to produce healthy, balanced, and promising foals, with a clear focus on show jumping .
Beyond breeding, the Haras du Rezidal has expanded its activities, particularly through international equine transport. We ensure regular journeys across Europe as well as to Morocco, providing grouping solutions to minimise costs without compromising the well-being of the horses. Our 35 years of experience in the transport sector is our guarantee of quality for organising a journey under the best conditions.
The Haras du Rezidal also offers boarding solutions for sport horses, resting horses, or young growing horses. Recently, we have also started welcoming mares with foals or in foal as part of our breeding boarding, providing an ideal environment for the birth and development of foals.
